Fuel Technology at the FICEM Technical Congress 2026 in Mexico City

From 31 August to 4 September, Fuel Technology took part in the FICEM Technical Congress 2026 at Expo Santa Fe México, in Mexico City. The congress is the main technical meeting point for the cement industry in Latin America and the Caribbean. Producers, technical directors and technology suppliers meet there to share experience in process optimisation, efficiency and sustainability.

Over the week, our team met plant managers and technical staff from the leading cement groups in the region. We discussed how alternative fuels can reduce fossil fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions in their plants. The congress also included technical visits to cement plants and to an alternative fuel processing facility, which gave us a close view of the challenges the region faces. We would like to thank FICEM and everyone who visited us. We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting Latin American cement plants on their way to higher thermal substitution rates.
